There is no greater cause than the Cause of Christ. Right?
There is no greater call than the call to build the Kingdom of God and champion the local church. Right?
So why is it that the Church so often sells out to the belief that 21st century life is far too busy to expect too much from its people.

10 observations:
1. Where the local church doesn’t have a big enough cause, the people of the church will find another one.
…it’s for this reason that the Para-church organization came to prominence over a number of decades.

2. Too many leaders are listening to the well meaning, but break jerking people in the church, who carry the voice of reason.

3. The Kingdom of God is an “unreasonable” Kingdom.
…there is nothing reasonable about “…deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow me.” – Luke 9:23

4. A reminder… The Church isn’t about PC, it’s about JC.

5. Inspire the church UP… Don’t excuse them down.
…let people choose the level they play at, don’t sensitively choose it for them!

6. What Jesus asked for was never reasonable for the Cause.

7. It is in the UNREASONABLE that breakthrough is found, not in the REASONABLE... (ask Naaman in 2 Kings 5)

8. Give the people a cause that is much bigger than themselves and you will be surprised how much the church will give… “Great people want something not to die for, but to live for.”

9. The church of momentum that you want to go to is likely to be a lot more unreasonable than the one you already attend.
…it got to where it is by being so!

10. Reasonable churches never really achieve a lot.

A great quote to finish:
Matthew Barnett said… “If a church has a great cause, you wont find them arguing about music styles or the colour of the carpet.”

…‘nuff said!
